PLEASE SEND Debbie Dibble an email to make your Saturday luncheon selection. (SEE BELOW!) This year's spring UCRA convention will be one to remember . . . for a LONG time. We have been invited to be guests at the exclusive private golf and country club at Jeremy Ranch. Our seminar room will be flooded with sunshine and fresh mountain air, to invigorate our minds as we stuff it full of the basic and fundamental knowledge of our profession. Have you noticed the "changes" in grammar and punctuation over the years? Does it make you crazy when you try to help with children's homework and . . . well, they're teaching them all wrong? (At least according to what we were taught.) Or you're reading a novel (right!!) and wonder, "Who proofread this?" Lillian Morson has been teaching court reporters, for decades, the proper methods to use in our transcripts. She will help you weed through what's passing fancy and what's here to stay, helping you to find that ever-elusive Punctuation Perfection. We'll continue on in our basic training sessions with a brush-up on legal terminology, a U of U-accredited course on medical terminology, a quick "KISS" from California's CRA President Lesia Mervin (keep it simple steno), and in conclusion, NCRA National Rep Melanie Humphrey-Sonntag will wrap up this AMAZING weekend with a townhall meeting, where she will give us the scoop on what's happening with our profession on a national level. And don't miss Friday night's casual get-together. Our visiting national "queen bee" will be hosting our festivities and should create quite a BUZZ. And last -- but definitely not least -- we'll be unveiling our first-time-ever Chinese auction. One-of-a-kind treasures have been specially crafted by your colleagues for this exciting event. We know you'll want to take one home. Please call Debbie Dibble at (435) 783-4562 if you have any questions. Also, if you have created a masterpiece for us, please let me know as soon as you can so the proper display can be arranged for your work. Yes, it's true. We have a choice of menus for this seminar. How exciting is that? PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO ddib@allwest.net to request your food selection. The selections are as follows: Chicken Scaloppini Pomodoro - Thinly sliced chicken breast, served with cheese tortellini and pine nuts and proscuitto, in fresh roma tomato basil sauce. London Broil: Marinated sliced beef served with a red wine mushroom sauce. Halibut a la Savona: Halibut filet seared with oyster mushrooms, roasted garlic, leeks and proscuitto di Parma, finished with Marsala wine. BE SURE TO REGISTER YOUR FOOD ASSIGNMENT FOR SATURDAY'S LUNCHEON!! (Or we'll serve you chicken -- tee hee.) Driving Directions view Inside of Flyer view Outside of Flyer
